We started working with Nate when our two Pomapoo littermates were little balls of chaos. Nate immediately understood their different personalities and how to bring out the best in each of them. We’re halfway through with our 8 classes with Nate and I couldn’t be happier with the progress our dog is making. So much of training butters is training me, and Nate does a great job of explaining everything thoroughly to me so we can keep practicing on our own. Nate really understands different dogs’ temperaments, and I’m really excited to see where we’re at after 4 more classes.

Nate was an excellent dog trainer that helped with our ACD’s reactivity issues. Nate started by establishing fundamental obedience training that helped eventually tackle our dogs reactivity. He showed up with various tools and techniques, and often had to adjust the training sessions to tend to our dogs needs. He was always very responsive and answered our calls and texts if we needed a last minute training session. I would definitely recommend Nate for obedience training as well as reactivity training.

So thankful that I found Nate. He is an incredible trainer. We have been working together for a few months and my dog Rio has transformed over that time. So many of the challenges that we were dealing with before starting with Nate are now total non-issues.

From the beginning, he listened intently to understand the unique challenges/goals I had so that he could tailor a program specific to Rio. Primarily, we have been working on off leash reliability so that I could safely and responsibly give Rio more freedom. Nate helped equip me with the toolkit to be able to effectively communicate boundaries with Rio while giving him the opportunity just enjoy being a dog. I am so much more confident in Rios ability to make good decisions all on his own now - thanks to Nate’s guidance.

Quick example…during our first consultation call, one of the first questions Nate asked (before even getting into training specifics) was weather Rio has had opportunities to get in the water (he is a Portuguese water dog). Putting that much value on breed-specific fulfillment is exactly what you want in a trainer. It shows an admirable attention to detail and dedication to helping dogs live their best lives.

We’re very grateful to Nate for helping us with our new rescue dog Nyla. She’s a great dog but was very reactive when encountering other dogs. I tried different online training programs but none worked.

When we initially met with Nate, he asked lots of questions and took the time to understand our situation, our challenges, and what we were hoping to achieve. He recommended specific tools and high value treats, then taught us a series of techniques to manage and help overcome her reactivity. Nate worked with our mini golden doodle and did wonders for her. She went from being hectic and not listening, pulling on leash and jumping on strangers to a well behaved dog and even off leash dog. Highly recommend anyone looking for a great trainer and Nate also a really nice guy.

Nate is an incredible trainer. He has patiently worked with our dog Luna, a 3 year old cattle mix with severe leash reactivity when we adopted her. Nate started me and my daughter through elementary steps for heal and sit commands as well as practical advice on food and accessories. We have progressed to e-collar training and Luna has become very well behaved. In just the last week, Luna has completely stopped reacting to other dogs on leash which is a huge improvement from where we started. I would recommend anyone who has recently adopted a dog or any pup/owner duo who needs some help to contact Nate immediately. Nate is clear, consistent, and kind. Where to begin? At the end of February 2024, I moved to Los Angeles with my 10-year-old lab mix, Leia, and my 1.5-year-old Australian Kelpie, Kylo. The move was a huge change for Kylo, who had limited leash experience and would bark at neighbors and other dogs. In LA, this behavior intensified due to the high population of people and their pets. It was almost impossible to be around any other people or dogs with Kylo, and I had to go out at odd hours just to potty him.

Kylo went from reacting strongly to other dogs to calmly walking through busy areas like downtown Culver. He also stopped barking for attention at home and no longer hassled Leia. By May, Kylo mastered sitting on walks and reacted calmly to dogs passing by. Thanks to Nate's expertise, Kylo transformed completely. He now enjoys walks, sits calmly in the car, and remains composed around other dogs. Our life in the city has become enjoyable. Nate's guidance has been invaluable, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

We worked with a bunch of different trainers and tried a lot of different classes. Nobody was able to help much with our dogs anxiety much except Nate. He has a deep understanding of trauma in dogs and what it takes to build healthy and solid relationship with them. I also love that Nate cares more about the dogs happiness than anything else. Five stars!

Nate has a gift that is unbelievable. He took our sweet Lola a rescue that was pretty much out of control and with love patience firmness consistency had her walking off leash, listening, responding and most of all she became a pet that we could trust!!
